A couple years ago I used the Flock browser for a while. It was a good browser but over time it got slow and unresponsive. Also the Feed section didn’t work to my liking.

Well on a whim yesterday I downloaded and installed the latest version 2.5, and my how it’s come on! Flock always aimed to be a “social” browser built on the Firefox engine and it’s now achieved that goal.

From within Flock you can post to Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Bebo. You can upload pictures to Flickr, ImageShack and Google’s Picasa. You can blog (that’s what I’m posting this from) to most any blog platform. You can read your RSS feeds, and import and export them from other feed readers.

One of my favourite features is one you don’t get, that I know of anyway, on any other browser: a web clipboard. You can drag links, text, pictures and video onto a sort of virtual corkboard in the sidebar and grab them later on. It’s handy for if you want to keep a site to show someone or look at later but don’t want to bookmark it or leave it open and taking up a tab.

Anyway, I recommend Flock, it’s a great browser. Check it out for yourself at www.flock.com

I just got an e-mail from MySpace saying someone added me as a friend on there. Does anyone actually still use MySpace?

I just did another speedtest and it came up with this. That’s a good 2mb/s faster than when I did it the other day. Bodes well for it getting even faster soon!

Pretty good if you ask me! Now we just need to get a new router to go even faster!

We got a new modem from Virgin Media yesterday. They sent my Mum an e-mail last week saying we could get a new one for free since our old one was, well, old. So the new one came and I set it up and I was just downloading something and noticed this:

I think our old modem used to top out at 400kb/s so it’s a good sign for speedy internet gettings.
