-1.jpgAwesome isn’t it? It was dead in work so I decided to make a stencil for Halloween. They have these in Costa in the shape of coffee beans and I’ve been wanting to do them so I though tonight was as good a time as any for a first go. I’m gonna redo it at another time cos it’s obviously too small. I just realised if I do it the other way and cut out a bat shape it’ll work better. That shall be tomorrows task. For Christmas I wanna do a tree and maybe a Santa hat or something. Such fun!

I have next week off work as Linzi and I are going to Inverness for a couple days and I have loads of holidays so I figured I’d just take the whole week off. I wanna get out to take some photos and Fallout 3: GOTY edition should arrive the beginning of next week.

I’m going to the cinema tomorrow night with Paula to see Up! I can’t wait, I’ve been waiting to see this film for four months. We’re going to see it in 3D! Very excited!

Oh and this is Debbie’s stencil, it’s a pumpkin.

I went with Linzi to meet Mandy for some coffee today and see Oliver. He’s so smiley! I took some pictures but he wouldn’t smile while my phone was pointed at him.

I also set up a lunch date with Mandy and Emma for the day after Tim arrives as he’s excited to see Oliver.

The good thing about my sister returning from Seattle is all the stuff she brought back for me! There’s presents, t-shirts, hoodies. candy, drink mixes, books and even a video game! Tho technically that didn’t come via Seattle. First up is my Adipose which was a birthday present from Jason, then my woot shirts and lastly a hoody from Tim.

Is it really bad that I look to my sisters return to Glasgow tomorrow with dread as I know she’s gonna recount what a wonderful time she had in Seattle with Tim?

Is this really who I’ve become?

I just helped my sister do the new ESTA form you have to do to be allowed to fly to the States and while I was searching Google for the site you go to I kept coming across these third party sites that were charging up to $250 to apply for it. But it’s free. I think that’s just shocking as someone less web-savvy might just click the first link in Google and end up paying for something they could easily do themselves for free. I think that’s absolutely appalling and that the US government needs to do something to stop that.

Anyway, I did find out about this FairFX thing my sister told me about. Basically it’s like a debit card that you put $ or € on it from your bank account and then you can use it at any store that accepts Mastercard. You also get the business rate which is sometimes as much as 0.05 higher than the consumer rate.

I think I’m gonna get one as it costs me £1.50 each time to get money from the hole in the wall or use my card online. This way I could use this card in stores (and also get cash out cheaper) and also use it online. When it runs low I can just top it up with more money from my UK account. It’s a pretty sweet deal for only £10.

Two pieces of news for today.

1) My sister and her boyfriend finally booked their tickets to Seattle so we will be accommodating them from the 16th till the 28th of July. I’m pretty psyched for them to come out tho Tim and I have a couple concerts booked in that time frame but oh well. I’m sure they can find a movie to watch on those nights or something.

2) I’m (maybe) moving to Canada! Yes you read that correctly. Jamie is off to Canada! My mum told me she was looking into selling our house and moving to France and wondered what I’d do. I mentioned it to Tim and he mentioned that I should look into Canada as it’s a Commonwealth country so I should be able to get in somewhat easily. Turns out I can do a ‘working holiday’ for a year and then (I think) apply for residency. So I could move to Vancouver for a year and be only two hours from Tim, not perfect but better than current. I think it’d be good for me to get some independence too. I’m going to a workshop in London about it in June so I shall find out more then!
