Tim bought the Jamie Oliver iPhone app last week so I downloaded it and decided to give it a try on Sunday. I browsed through the recipes and decided to make meatball and courgette carbonara. It turned out really good! I had the leftovers for lunch at work on Monday. I’m making another dish on Saturday: grilled lemon and herb chicken with mash, sounds good eh?
Whenever I’m around Tim it drives me insane that he chews his fingernails, I’m constantly telling him to stop but he continues to do it anyway. Today I realised he probably doesn’t even realise he’s doing it as I do the same thing with chewing my lips. I’ll only realise I’ve been doing it when I’ve chewed them till they bleed and then I’ll make myself stop. Annoying habits are annoying!
What will 2010 be bringing for me? Well starting this month (today in fact) I’ll be moving up to Duty Manager at work! More responsibility and hopefully more regular hours, it should be good. I’m hoping to get down to London sometime between now and the end of March. I’ve got a couple holidays left to take since I worked Boxing Day, NY Day and the 2nd so I’m gonna save a bit and head down for a long weekend to see Amy and Ian. I think that’s everything for the year….
…obviously I am kidding Tim so put the gasket back in! In May I’m getting married! It can’t come soon enough tho I imagine by the time it comes I’ll be ready to have it over just to be destressed. For our honeymoon we’re going to Paris which I’m excited for even tho I’ve been a half dozen times before. I’m excited to take Tim and I’m excited he’s excited to go.
Is I really Christmas eve already? The time since Tim left has just flew by, it feels like forever since he was here but in fact it’s only been three weeks.
I’m on my way into town just now to pick up my last Christmas present, which is funny considering I had them all bought by the end of November. This was a time restricted one so I couldn’t have got it sooner.
I’m meeting up with my Dad an Lorene for a coffee which should be nice, tho my dad suggested finding somewhere we could sit outside. It’s -7 outside so I think that idea will be nixed.
Tonight I’m having dinner with Mum, Linzi and Callum which should be good. After dinner mum an I are gonna watch Bad Santa and then open presents. Once that’s done I’m gonna watch Love Actually with Tim and then head to bed since it’ll be a long day tomorrow.

Wow what a week. Is it really already over? It seems like it was only yesterday Tim was arriving and yet at the same time it feels like it has been weeks since it was last Saturday. I can’t believe how much we did in 6 days.
Saturday: We had dinner with Linzi and Callum then their friends Andy and Porto came over and we played Catchphrase into the wee hours. I invited a new word while drunk: chatitive.
Sunday: We met Mandy, Emma and Oliver for coffee then added my Dad and Lorene for lunch which was super yummy. My Dad and Lorene gave us an extremely generous engagement present. We had dinner with my mum and then headed to bed.
Monday: We met Paula and Kirstin for lunch at my work then went to the Bruce Hotel so Tim could see it. Had dinner again with my mum and watched some shows.
Tuesday: Inverness. Was as good as it could’ve been.
Wednesday: We headed into town aiming to do kilts and cakes but ended up spending all afternoon in House of Fraser doing a wedding list. Such fun! Had dinner with Chris and Andrew then home.
Thursday: Met Amy for coffee, then a movie, then dinner and finally some drinks with the addition of Paula and Kirstin. Much fun (and alcohol) was had.
Friday: Finally did cakes and kilts, then to Dad and Lorenes for dinner with them, Mandy, Emma, Linzi, Callum, Ross and Gill.
Saturday: Got up very early and took Tim to airport.
Oh crappity crap! Being the helpful soul I am, I thought I’d charge Tim’s iPhone for him while he sleeps but since I don’t have a wall charger I plugged it into my MacBook Pro. I knew it’d start syncing but I thought it’d recognize it was a different computer and ask if I wanted to continue. IT DID NOT! Once I realized this I yanked out the cable to cancel the sync, then checked to see if anything had been deleted. All his photos seem to be gone and ones he’s taken with the iPhone some of them are just all black now. I really hope he has a recent backup :/
Woohoo! I’m finished work till after Tim leaves now! My god today dragged, I’ve been so excited the past few days that I haven’t been able to get to sleep and I’ve been up at 6:30am the past two days so I’m absolutely cream crackered.
I’ve still to tidy and clean the house tonight as well, why did I leave it till the last minute?
It’ll be an early night tonight me thinks.
This is kinda what I want Tim and I’s cake to look like for the wedding, but it’s gonna be more customised towards Left 4 Dead. We’re going next Wednesday to meet some cake people and talk it out and see what’s possible. It shall be an adventure to say the least!
Only 14 more sleeps until Tim arrives! I can’t wait! 
Amazingly Tim > Christmas this year.
My dad said something to me the other day that’s really stuck with me and made me think a lot. Basically he said that I’m the kind of person who when you say something aggressive or hurtful or mean to me I won’t say anything back at you, instead I’ll store it all inside. You push me, I won’t push back kind of thing. And its completely true, I absolutely do that. Whether its cos I’m a youngest child or cos I’m just not a confrontational person I dunno but that’s just what I do.
Then he said something that made me rethink that mentality. If you’re passionate about something, you need to articulate that to people or they aren’t gonna know that you’re passionate about that something.
So what is it I need to say more often that I’m passionate about? Why its my future husband to be Timothy!
I know I’m guilty of avoiding conversations about our relationship and assuming people know things but that has to stop now.
Next May I’m gonna stand up in front of my closest family and friends and tell them I love Tim and wanna spend the rest of my life with him, I figure I should get the ball rolling by saying it here first.
I love Timothy Michael Buckley with all my heart. Truly, madly and deeply. He completes me. He makes me smile, he makes me laugh, he makes me feel like I can do anything I want because he believes in me. There’s twenty years between us yet I’ve never felt closer to anyone in my life. He is my soul mate and my best friend. He’s the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing before I go to bed.
He is the one.
